Job Title Human Resource Director
Job Description


A local educational institute is seeking a Director of Human Resources.  This position will report to the President and perform high-level Human Resource responsibilities at the Professional level and manage strategic responsibilities in the following areas; Benefits, EEO/affirmative action, recruitment, employee relations/career development, compensation practices, worker compensation, HRIS activities.

Responsibilities include

  1. Develop and administer various human resources policies, plans and procedures for all personnel.
  2. Plan, organize and control all activities of the department.  Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  3. Develop/analyze/implement/review compensation program for senior management and board of directors’ approval.
  4. Develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures.
  5. Develop, implement and monitor human resources website and intranet site regarding informational access and accuracy.
  6. Plan/develop/implement/analyze HR metrics for departmental and overall organizational needs.  Contributes to the institutional long range planning process and 90 day operational planning process and oversees timely implementation of approved objectives.
  7. Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals.  Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  8. Lead and monitor recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientation and campus executive training; monitor employee relations counseling, exit interviewing and write and place advertisements.
  9. Serves as EEO specialist for the organization.
  10. Monitors workers’ compensation claims.
  11. Reviews and monitors benefit programs and open enrollments.
     

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  2. 7 to 10 years of previous experience directing, managing or serving as a Human Resource Generalist.
  3. PHR required, SPHR certification preferred
  4. Ability to manage rapidly changing priorities and opportunities. 
  5. Self-motivated with strong organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.  Attentive to detail. 
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Fluency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and PowerPoint.

Job Description

We currently have an opening for an HR Director. The HR Director is responsible for overseeing all human resources issues including staffing, employee/labor relations, orientation and development as well as compensation and benefits. The Director manages the Human Resources Department while also serving as a resource for the department. You will be developing and recommending human resources practices and procedures that assist in the growth of Menorah Medical Center, while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. This position reports directly to the hospital’s CEO and plays key part in the Administrative team.
 
Additional responsibilities include: 
·         Plans for operational improvement opportunities, and develops the Human Resource Department budget, plus the Hospital wide salary increase and benefits budgets appropriate to the hospital's philosophy and mission.
·         Develops and maintains policy and procedure manuals.
·         Develops, monitors and maintains salary and benefits programs for the Hospital.
·         Maintains active membership on Policy Committee, Tuition Reimbursement Committee, Facility Security Committee and Facility Ethics & Compliance Committee.
·         Has frequent interaction with corporate Human Resource staff, all levels of hospital staff, and community leaders.  Must have the sensitivity, maturity and ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
 
Qualifications:
·         Requires Bachelors degree in Human Resources, business or related field, and a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated successful experience in Healthcare HR management or 10+ yrs experience in healthcare HR management.  Must maintain hospital mandatory training.  SHRM certification and Masters degree preferred.
·         Will be responsible for H.R. services, policies and procedures.  Must have excellent composition abilities.
·         Requires working knowledge of Labor Relations.
·         Requires leadership abilities, professionalism, common sense, flexibility, honesty and a service-oriented attitude.
